Just a small amount can transform simple noodles into a restaurant-style meal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From South Indian tempering to Chinese stir-fry, Korean bibimbap to Japanese ramen, sesame oil blends seamlessly into both traditional and modern recipes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the noodles:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>150\u2013200g noodles (Hakka \/ egg \/ whole wheat)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Water for boiling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd tsp salt<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp oil (for boiling water)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the garlic sesame sauce:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1\u00bd tbsp sesame seed oil (preferably cold-pressed)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>6\u20138 garlic cloves, finely chopped<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp grated ginger<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 medium onion, thinly sliced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd cup capsicum, julienned<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd cup carrots, julienned<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 tbsp spring onion greens, chopped<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tbsp soy sauce<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp vinegar or lemon juice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd tsp sugar or honey (optional)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bd tsp black pepper<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt to taste<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 tsp toasted sesame seeds (optional but recommended)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Cook the noodles<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Boil water with salt and oil.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add noodles and cook until just al dente (do not overcook).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Toss with a few drops of sesame oil to prevent sticking. Set aside.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2: Prepare the garlic sesame base<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Heat sesame oil on low to medium heat (do not overheat as sesame oil has a strong flavour).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add chopped garlic and saut\u00e9 until lightly golden and aromatic.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add ginger and onions. Stir until onions turn translucent.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3: Add vegetables<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add carrots and capsicum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stir-fry for 2\u20133 minutes to keep the veggies slightly crunchy.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4: Create the sauce<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add soy sauce, vinegar\/lemon juice and sugar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mix gently and let the flavours blend for 30\u201340 seconds.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 5: Combine noodles<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add cooked noodles to the pan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Toss well using tongs so the sauce coats evenly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add spring onion greens and sesame seeds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cook for another 1\u20132 minutes on a low flame.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>At VIE, we produce 100% pure Sesame seed oil, a high-quality, versatile oil extracted from Sesame seeds using traditional methods.
